About this course
The purpose of this qualification is to give you the skills to support colleagues with mental health problems. These skills will be gained by increasing your knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions and the principles of mental health first aid and how this can be implemented in the workplace.
What you will learn
In order to achieve this qualification you must successfully complete 3 mandatory units:
- Exploring mental health
- Understand how to support individuals with mental ill health
- Understand a mentally healthy environment
Course requirements
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, you may find it helpful if you have already achieved a Level 1 qualification.
- This qualification is suitable for anyone aged 19 and above.

Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocay in the Workplace
Assessment Methods
All units will be individually assessed using a range of methods which could include written assignments or tasks.
